Which course do I need?

If you are 14 ½ to 17 years old, you need the DETS 6-hour course. If you are 18 or older and have never had a driver's license, you need the TLSAE 4-hour course. Remember, you can start the DETS course at 14 ½ to get a head start, even though the legal age to apply for a permit in Florida is 15.

Is this course approved by the state?
